Antique Embroidered Scenic Chinese Tapestry, c1900, measures 66 inches by 91 inches, one of the largest I have seen in these pieces. The calm river scene while it looks painted, it is all hand embroidered. There is a 5.5 inch silk damask border with dragons. The back is a cotton damask in a bluish green. All seams appear to be hand stitched, as well. Beautifully painted with a needle! In good condition. The embroidery is almost excellent. The border has some condition issues with wear along the edges and a split on the lower right corner. Small tears along the top. The back is faded in some areas. Also a musty odor that should dissipate with airing. In house Flat Rate Shipping is an estimate. I will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
