Ma’avar Yabok, a book of prayers and remedies for the ill and departed, by Kabbalist Rabbi Aaron Berechiah of Modena. First edition.
He was renowned for the long hours he would spend in the cemetery, praying for the souls of the departed.
This first edition volume (Mantua, 1626) was used by him and bears his signature and has glosses (in 2 places) by Kabbalist Rabbi Eliezer Nachman Foa, Av Beit Din of Modena, a confidant and disciple of Rema of Fano.
Also the signature of Rabbi Yechiel Nachman Foa – a student of Remaz, who owned other important and holy books and manuscripts.
