Copy owned by renowned rabbis - Rabbi Nathaniel Weil, author of Korban Netanel, with his handwritten signature and glosses. Tur, Yoreh De’ah, Berlin edition, 1702.
The top of the title page has the beautiful curled signature “Netanel, son of the holy L.A.A.” – the Gaon Rabbi Netanel Weil, author of Korban Netanel. He refers to his father as “holy” because he was killed sanctifying Hashem’s name.
Handwritten notation at the beginning of the Tur commentary to Hilchot Ta'arovet [p. 72b]: “Today I began to learn the laws of Ta'arovet with our master and teacher, with the novellae to these laws. May Hashem grant me the merit to finish, and may my learning always be in my heart [Netanel…(the signature has been blotted out with ink)]. Today, Tuesday of Parshat Shlach, 5463 (June, 1803)
