HIGHLIGHT OF THE ENTIRE AUCTION - Up for Auction is a Numismatic rarity, an Near uncirculated 1843-o Large Letters $5 Gold half Eagle. With less than 10 uncirculated examples known, locating one even close to unc can be quite the feat. This example is weakly struck in the centers, but don’t let strike fool you, as there is virtually no wear or rub on this near mint state example. Pleasing Yellow-gold color, but the lack of significant luster is the details designation. Still any near Mint State 1843-o is a coup to a serious gold collector and this coin would go nicely in an advanced collection.
