"Not difficult" - an extreme antisemitic pamphlet distributed in Paris. February 1939

pas difficile "Not difficult" - a particularly sharp antisemitic pamphlet which was published in Paris in February 1939 by HENRY COSTON. The title page reads 'Booklet No. 1', but apparently no more booklets have been published.

On the cover of the issue is a drawing of a Star of David with the word "devil" in Hebrew letters in square writing and a drawing of a pulley. The issue is full of antisemitic articles focusing on the Jewish takeover of French society, and the danger posed by the Jews. In addition appear Graphs and diagrams about the growth of Jewish society and the demographic danger it poses to the French society. The issue opens with a distorted quote from a speech given by Rabbi Reichhorn in 1869 in the Prague Cemetery in which he says that money and gold and control of the press are the overarching goals of the Jewish people. There are many articles that try to show how the Jew actually achieved these goals in France. One of the pages includes a photograph of Rishon LeZion Rabbi Yaakov Meir in the lavish clothes of the day of his coronation to Rishon LeZion, and the accompanying antisemitic caption: "The Jewish Republic has not forgotten to decorate this old rabbi ... but thousands of French soldiers who have shed their blood for the homeland are still waiting to receive the Cross of Courage".On another page is a photograph of Rabbi Meir Shapira of Lublin alongside Rabbi Volkin of Pinsk and Rabbi Spitzer, under an antisemitic headline:"The Three Arms of the Jews". There is a photograph showing a Zionist activist speaking next to the Israeli flag, and the antisemitic caption: "Jewish unrest in a holy war against Christians", along with photographs of Jews in a wine feast, extensive coverage of Jewish takeover of the press, maps showing the spread of Jews around the world, views from the Jewish market trying to portray Jews as idlers and thieves, antisemitic cartoons, and more.

On the last page of the booklet, were presented 15 principles that, if France followed, the 'Jewish problem' would be completely eliminated, and they all deal with excluding the steps of the Jews from French society.

34 p. 32 cm. Slight stains. Good condition.
