The Jew and the Aryan - An Antisemitic Painting from World War II
Deutschland - an antisemitic painting signed by H.F. UN and dated: 1943. Ink on cardboard.
The painting shows the stereotypical face of the Jew with the long nose and distorted face next to a typical Aryan girl in profile - the Jew endangers the 'pure' Aryan, and the simple inscription - "Deutschland" - Germany. This illustration first appeared on propaganda posters in the German Reichstag election campaign as early as 1920, before the rise of the Nazi party to power. (The poster from 1920 appears in the Jewish Museum in Berlin).
Size: 21x24 cm. Stains. Good condition.
