This stunning near Gem is brilliant apart from wisps of iridescent golden-rose peripheral toning that are more prevalent on the obverse. Highly lustrous with appreciable reflective tendencies in the fields, a sharp to full strike is also a praiseworthy attribute for a final-year Morgan dollar. Terrific cameo on the obverse, rarely seen on the issue. As certified population data makes clear, Proof like coins are in the distinct minority among Mint State survivors of this otherwise plentiful Denver Mint issue.
