. A whole matter, an interesting one that was omitted from the new edition of the book 'Chidushei Rabbi Nehemiah'.
הגאון הקדוש רבי נחמיה אלתר [תרל"ה – תש"ב] בן 'השפת אמת' ואחיו של ה'אמרי אמת' מגור. נישא לבתו של האדמו"ר רבי צבי הירש מורגנשטרן מלומאז'. במלחמת העולם הראשונה עבר לווארשא ולאחר המלחמה עלה לארץ הקודש ונתיישב בצפת, לאחר תקופה עבר לירושלים. משנת תרפ"ה כיהן כראש ישיבת שפת אמת. בשנת תרפ"ט חזר לפולין על מנת לטפל במחלתה של אשתו. תחילה התיישב באוטבוצק ולאחמ"כ בלודז', שם מונה למו"צ וחבר ועד הרבנים של הקהילה. חתנו הוא ה'לב שמחה' מגור.
