Letter dated July 1939, very shortly before the outbreak of WWII, appealing to the Ezras Torah relief organisation in America to provide funding for the publication of Rabbi Zirelson’s rabbinic work Bnei Yehuda, in return for 200 copies of the published book.
Rabbi Yehuda Leib Zirelson (1860-1941), studied under Rabbi Yisrael Noach Shneerson of Niezhin. Rabbi of Priluki (1880), and Kishinev (1908) and Chief Rabbi of Bessarabia. A prominent rabbi active in national and international Jewish affairs. Author of Gevul Yehuda and several other rabbinic works.
