Classic: Sefer Gevuros Ari, Vilna 1862. The Baron Rothschild Deluxe Copy.
A complete copy of Sefer Gevuros Ari, written by R. Aryeh Leib Ginsberg of Metz. First edition published from manuscript form, and printed at Vilna in 1862.
This edition was published by R. Gershon Amsterdam of Vilna, a highly respected community leader and Scholarly individual. Printed with approbations from leading Torah scholars of the generation, including that of R. Akiva Eiger and R. Moshe Sofer. Also seen are approbations of Lithuania’s foremost Torah leaders, particularly those who had been influenced by R. Chaim of Volozhin (a disciple of the author), such as: R. Yitzchak of Volozhin, R. Yaakov of Karlin, and R. Yosef Peimer of Slutsk.
An exclusive letter of appreciation printed on blue regal paper addressed to the benefactors who sponsored the printing, inserted at pp. 2, with a handwritten dedication by R. Gershon Amsterdam thanking Baron Rothchild personally for his support in this publication on verso.
An exceptionally rare and beautiful copy. Printed on deluxe regal paper with gilded edges. Bound in a custom hand-tooled binding made exclusively for the Baron.
