A RUSSIAN INK PENCIL PAINTING BY KONSTANTIN YUON
Konstantin Fedorovich Yuon (Russian, 1875-1958) ink and colored pencil painting on paper, Red Square, from the series Views of Moscow. Signed lower left. Framed. Inscribed on verso. Yuon was a master of architectural landscapes and theatrical scenery. He depicted Russian nature and monuments of ancient architecture surrounded by contemporary life, painted old provincial Russian cities and Moscow.
