Two Postcards from Rebbetzin Chanah Schneersohn (Mother of the Lubavitcher Rebbe) – Depicting the Cities of Nikolayev and Yekaterinoslav – With Letter of Authenticity Signed by Rebbetzin Chanah Gurary

Two postcards from Rebbetzin Chanah Schneersohn, mother of the Lubavitcher Rebbe. Stockholm: Granberg, [ca. late 19th and early 20th centuries]. One postcard is undivided.
Two postcards which Rebbetzin Chanah Gurary received from her sister Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka Schneersohn, wife of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, following the passing of her mother-in-law Rebbetzin Chanah Schneersohn. One postcard depicts the main street of Nikolayev (Mykolaiv; hometown of Rebbetzin Chanah and her son the Lubavitcher Rebbe); the second postcard offers a view of one of the islands of Yekaterinoslav (Dnipro; where the Rebbetzin lived for thirty years, 1909-1939, during the tenure of her husband R. Levi Yitzchak Schneersohn as rabbi of the city).
Letter of authenticity enclosed (handwritten note, in English), signed in Hebrew by Rebbetzin Chanah Gurary (1899-1991), eldest daughter of Rebbe Rayatz: "I hereby gift… two postcards that my sister gave me. When she cleaned out the apartment of her mother-in-law, she saved these for me. Nikolayev – the city where she was from. Ekatrinslav where she lived for many years". Dated 5th November 1989.

Two postcards (one undivided). Approx. 14X9 cm. Good condition. Stains and minor wear. Tear to letter of authenticity.
