Large Antique Early 19th Century Travel Writing Lap Desk / Writing Box / Writing Slope | Very well constructed in hardwood with brass decoration (shield shape inlay for monogram), lock plate, mounts and edge pieces, affixed with brass hand cut screws | Interior has green felt-top writing surfaces, under which are two large compartments for storing paper and documents. Includes 4 smaller individual compartments for fountain pens, inkwells, nibs and sealing wax.
