(1920 - 2007) United States Marine Corps who was a member of the patrol that captured the top of Mount Suribachi and raised the first U.S. flag on the island on February 23, 1945. Iconic signed black-and-white photograph, 8 x 10 inches, depicting the US Marines raising the US flag. Signed in black marker 'Charles W. Lindberg 1st Flag Raiser, Iwo Jima Feb. 23, 1945, 10:30 A.M.'
