with "Hold the Fort" Slogan. Made by Smith & Egge Mfg. Company Bridgeport, Ct. - 1870's 5" Tall. D. L. Moody and Ira Sanky were American religious revivalists who had a strong influence on evangelical church policy throughout the Midwest and the Northeast in the Reconstruction Era of the 1870's. This is an absolutely dazzling quality example of a very scarce toy bank.
