Rare Tibetan Bronze of Garuda
Bronze of Bird God, Garuda. Partially gilded with red and green lacquer. Circa 1900-20s Size 4.25"H This lot from a local elder, until now, a very active, eclectic and constant collector for 62 years. Due to recent health issues, our gallery has been chosen to undertake the start of the disposal of his formidable collections of more than 25,000 good to rare things covering mostly fine to rare antiques and art properties , mostly never seen or offered. Many world cultures and all age periods are represented, paleolithic to modern. We have been given a free hand as to valuations for reasonable results for this client.
