Blessings for the New Year from the Admo"r Rabbi Shalom of Schatz, of the Tried-and-True Friday Segulah

At the end of the letter to Rabbi Shedrotzky, the Admo"r Rabbi Shalom of Schatz added three handwritten lines with blessings for the new year, and his signature. London, 1955.

The Admo"r Rabbi Shalom Moskowitz of Schatz [1877-1958], a scion of the maggid of Zlotchov, was a master of the revealed [aspects of Torah], halachah, and Kabbalah, and he authored halachic works. In his youth, he was rabbinically ordained by the Maharsha"m of Berzan, who was effusive in his praise for him. In 1929, he moved to London, where he became famous as the Admo"r of Schatz and known as a wonder-worker. He promised in his will that he will arouse mercy in Heaven for anyone who visits his grave and accepts upon himself to strengthen his mitzvah observance and light candles. His grave has become a pilgrimage site, primarily on Fridays. For more about him, refer to Encyclopedia L'Chassidut III, 661-662.
