Yitev Lev - First Edition. Five Parts. Complete Copy

Yitev Lev, Chassidic Torah novellae. Five parts bound together. First edition. Sighet, 1875. Renowned book by the great Admo"r of Hungary, the first Admo"r of Sighet and patriarch of the Satmar dynasty, Rabbi Yekutiel Yehudah Teitelbaum, known as "The author of Yitev Lev" after the name of this book.

This is a rare complete copy. Novellae on all chamishah chumshei Torah in one volume. This complete copy includes: A general title page, and in addition, five partial title pages, as well as a table of errata.

The book was printed in the author's lifetime, without mention of his name. Printed on the title page: As granted by G-d to his servant; out of His love for the author's ancestors and chose their descendants, [the author is hiding his identity]. Yet the author's name is hinted to in the word Yitev - [ייטב], which is an abbreviation of Yekutiel Yehudah Teitelbaum.

Refer to the Hebrew catalog text for a brief biography of the Admo"r Rabbi Yekutiel Yehudah Teitelbaum.
