A tremendously influential figure in the Mussar Movement. R. Levenstein was Mashgiach of the Mirrer Yeshiva in Lithuania and during its flight to Shanghai. Later, he was Mashgiach Ruchni of the Ponovezh Yeshiva in Israel.
