WW2 US CIVIL DEFENCE UNIT HELMET, O.C.D.
Original WW2 period steel helmet with canvas sweatband webbing, marked "FIRST-AID" on the front and stamped on the inside "U.S. GOV'T PROPERTY O.C.D." These helmets were made for the US Government and used by the Office of Civilian Defense (OCD) during WWII.
