Generals and leaders in France during World War II - a collection of photographs
A collection of 19 photographs of generals and key figures in World War II France.
Among: a large photograph of Charles de Gaulle - the leader of Free France in World War II and the first president of the Fifth French Republic (31x25 cm); a large photograph of Joseph Jean de Goislard [1887-1981] - French general and politician, particularly prominent in battles in Africa during World War II, as well as in the Italian campaign led by the Third Algerian Infantry Brigade (31x24 cm); Marcel Carpentier (1895-1977) - an officer in the French army during World War II and the India War; General Pierre Armand Gaston Billotte (1906-1992) - an officer and politician from the French army, the son of General Gaston Billotte, who commanded parts of the French army at the beginning of World War II Pierre Billot excelled in his combat operations during the Battle of France; Philippe de Gaulle (born 1921) a retired French admiral and senator. The eldest son of General Charles de Gaulle, the first president of the Fifth French Republic; Edgard de Larminat [1895-1962] - a French general who fought in the two world wars, one of the most important figures influencing the French fighting strategy in World War II (31x24 cm), and other photographs of various key figures in World War II France.
All the photographs are depicted on the back with stencil-printed paper strips, some of them stamped by the photography agency that photographed them.
Three photographs 31x25 cm. two: 25x18 cm, and the rest in an average size of 12x16 cm. general condition very good.
