J. EDGAR HOOVER
(1895 - 1972) American law enforcement administrator who served as the first Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of the United States. Hoover is also credited with establishing and expanding a national blacklist, renamed in 2001 as the Terrorist Screening Database. A postal envelope signed by J. Edgar Hoover in blue ink bearing a postal stamp dated September 18th, 1964, 6.5 x 3.5 inches.
