Dozens of brief glosses in Orach Chaim part, where the writer explains and translates various words and terms in an unidentified language (presumably a language from the Balkans region), written in Hebrew characters. Lengthy gloss in Sephardic script on leaf 18. Other glosses.
Two parts in one volume. Part I (Orach Chaim): 9-147 leaves. Originally: 148 leaves. Lacking 9 leaves: title page and following leaf of foreword, 6 leaves of indexes and final leaf. Part II (Yoreh De'ah): [125] leaves. Originally: [127] leaves. 16 gatherings of 8 leaves each (apart from final gathering which originally comprised 7 leaves). Lacking 2 leaves: first leaf of gathering 34 and final leaf. Gatherings 30-31 erroneously bound between gatherings 21-22. Approx. 23 cm. Fair condition. Stains, including many large dampstains. Tears and wear (margins of most leaves trimmed or damaged). Worming, affecting text on some leaves. Large open tears to two leaves of indexes at beginning of volume, and to leaf 56. Tears affecting text on other leaves. Mold stains to some leaves. Several detached leaves. Old binding, damaged.
