Pinkas LeChevra Kadisha Reishith Tov [yizkor and prayer miscellanies].
Hebrew manuscript written on vellum in a square and cursive calligraphic Ashkenazic hand.
pp. 20. Few stains and wear. Recent calf. 4to.
Amsterdam(?): Early 19th century
This manuscript was written to be utilized prior to the Sabbath Musaph service. It contains a range of prayers recited during and immediately after the Torah reading. This includes the prayer for the reigning Monarch: Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands (d. 1837). This prayer is here pasted over by paper, yet the underlying writing remains visible. The text continues with various memorial prayers and includes a list of several dozen men and women recalled by name. The patrons of the manuscript are recalled as being Mikhel and Joseph Bromat. The chronogram on the title-page is erroneous. (Inquire for details in regard to the dating of the manuscript).
