לאורך כל הספר, בשולי הדפים נכתבו הערות בנושא לשון הקודש ומסורת הקריאה כל הערה תחת הכותרת בשם " חלק הדקדוק" . הערות נוספות תחת הכותרת " ביאור" . כתיבה תימנית, תקופת סוף המאה ה – 19.
בדף כד נכתב בהערה " וכבר ראיתי פסק ארוך על זה שנכתב ממהר" ר שלום צבטאני בכתיבת תלמידו מהר" ר צאלח בחתימת כמה זקנים ת" ח ועיקר יסודם שבנו עליו הכרעתם הוא המנין שמנתה המוסרה... והכרעתם תכריע שהם דברי קבלה ומינה לא תזוז..."
