WILLIAM IV
WILLIAM IV (1765 - 1837) King of England who resisted a halt to the slave trade, and was the last king to attempt to force a Prime Minister on Parliament. A.L.S., 1p. 8vo., 'Bushy House' [London], ' Apr. 14, 1829, to the Duke of Clarence regarding a visit by the Duchess of Weimar and asking that a steam vessel arrange to transport her from Ostend. Fine condition.
