JOSEPHINE OF LEUCHTENBERG
(Joséphine Maximilienne Eugénie Napoléone de Beauharnais) (1807 – 1876) Queen consort of Sweden and Norway as the wife of King Oscar I. A.L.S. 'Josephine' on black-bordered mourning stationery, 4pp. 8vo., Stockholm, Nov. 1, 1872 to a baroness, in French. Largely untranslated but clearly lamenting the death of Charles XV, King of Sweden (1826-1872). A bit of old tape joins the bottom of the two leaves, else near fine.
