(1750 - 1828) French Deputy Supplant of the National Assembly, later President of the Legislative Assembly, then went on to become Minister of the Interior and inaugurate the Louvre. Great content A.L.S. as Minister of the Interior on the official letterhead of the French Republic, 1p. sm. 4to., Paris, Dec. 30, 1798, addressed to the department of the Seine and the Marne regarding a government worker's suspension. In part: '...Citizen Lamont, Municipal Deputy of the Commune...complains of having been suspended by you...Not having received your order, I was unable to rule on his claim...Send me the suspension order with all the evidence that motivated it...' Two folds to the lower corners, two spots of non-intrusive chipping, else fine.
