JOZEF PONIATOWSKI
(1762-1813) Polish born leader, general, and Marshall of the French Empire who was a staunch ally of Napoleon I and fought with him during his invasion of Russia. Rare manuscript D.S., 1p. 4to., Warsaw, May 12, 1807, untranslated with Poniatowski's signature at the conclusion. Extreme water damage, estimated accordingly.
