ITALIAN FASCIST UNION OF LARGE FAMILIES GROUPING
Fine selection of items from, or related to, the Italian Fascist Union of Large Families. This organization was established in 1937 and its goal was the support of families with many children. Included is: a Medal of the Fascist Union of Large Families, with eight Bows.The medal was instituted in 1939 and was awarded to mothers of more than five children. This example bears eight bows for eight children; with the original glassine stamped '8'; a separate bow and ribbon ensemble; a gold enameled pin issued by the organization; another small glassine which likely contained the pin; a numbered membership booklet for the organization, in blank; a 2nd grader's 1932 report card; and an unrelated 1942 blank membership card for the cultural Dante Alighieri Society. Fine condition.
