I.J.A. PILOT'S SUMMER LEATHER FLIGHT HELMET
Near pristine Imperial Japanese Army pilot's summer leather flight helmet. This terrific example bears an untouched army green twill interior with brown leather ear cups with dark kanji. Straps are all intact and supple, as is the body of the helmet and ornamental star emblem at front. Dated "Showa 17" (1942) inside the ear cup - at the height of the Japanese' conquests in the South Pacific and Asia.
