KRIEGSMARINE ADMIRAL'S VISOR CAP
Rare, high-quality Kriegsmarine admiral's visor cap in excellent condition. The cap bears a dark navy wool body with black ribbed side band, piped at top in black. A gold bullion eagle on cloth backing has been professionally applied at front, along with fine gold bullion oak leaves surrounding a metal cockade. The leather chin strap remains tightly affixed by two gold 'fouled anchor' buttons, one at either side. The visor is likewise heavily embroidered with gold bullion oak leaves, very well accomplished. The cap is fitted within with an undamaged brown leather sweatband, perforated at the front. It is lined in burgundy cloth that shows very obvious signs of genuine use, even after the original celluloid 'diamond' was lost. This cap is in fine condition, showing only typical wear from use, and the body is absolutely free of any holes or other damage. A most desirable piece of headgear.
