ERICH JASCHKE
(1890 - 1961) German general during World War II, leading the 20th Infantry Division through Operation Barbarossa and the Siege of Leningrad. Recipient of the Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves. S.P., 3.5 x 4.25 in. b/w, a seated portrait of Jaschke in uniform, prominently wearing his Knight's Cross. Signed 'Jaschke' at lower-left in black ink. Press inkstamp from 'Foto-Helms' present on the verso. Mounting remnants on the verso, light crease at upper-right corner, else fine.
