Photo Previous to the Orzesze Massacre in Poland 1939
Photo taken in Orzesze (Poland) in September 1939 during the early days of the invasion of Poland and the beginning of the WW2. We see some German SS men surrounding the city of Orzesze and many inhabitants on the back made prisoners. Paper Agfa Lupex. On 3 September 1939 German Freikorps and SS units surrounded the town of Orzesze. Next day, they murdered 29 inhabitants of Orzesze, former Silesian insurgents and many Jews in a nearby forest. Size 9cm x 6cm.
