Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration Camp:1944 Postcard franked Hitler 6pf tied by 'Berlin-Charlottenburg 23. 6.1944 a, with 5-line cachet (Rückantwort nur über auf Postkarten in deutscher Sprache über die Reichsvereinigang der Juden in Deutschland Berlin 65 Iranische Strasse 2 ) instructing that any reply would have to be in German & to the noted Berlin address. Sender was Herzog Marie from Chlumec (Czech ) we found in German archives her transport list from the Theresienstadt ghetto see last photo. This card was part of the 'Briefaktion des RSHA (Juden)' which was 'Operation Mail' carried out by the Nazis in the summer of 1943 until middle of 1944 to deceive the world about the 'Final Solution'. Before being murdered Jewish prisoners were forced to write forward dated postcards or letters home falsely stating that they were in good health and doing well, and the purpose of this was also to try to lure out any Jews still in hiding.
