Rare Chinese Ink Metal Box w Calligraphy, Signed"Hu Cheng" on Left, . A gift box from Yang Hucheng to Zhang Xueliang. 25.5cm Diameter 5cm H. Good Condition .Yang Hucheng was a Chinese general during the Warlord Era of Republican China and Kuomintang general during the Chinese Civil War. Yang Hucheng joined the Xinhai Revolution in his youth and had become a popular warlord of Shaanxi Province by1926. Chang Hsüeh-liang, also romanized as Zhang Xueliang, nicknamed the "Young Marshal", known in his later life as Peter H. L. Chang, was the effective ruler of Northeast China and much ofnorthern China after the assassination of his father, Zhang Zuolin, by the Japanese on 4 June 1928.
