It appears to work best with dimes because modern pennies are too thick for use. Push coins firmly through the slot in the girls head. It coasts on a curving path through her upper body, ultimately re-emerging in her hands and arcing through the air into the kitten's mouth. If adjusted properly, the coin should cause the cat's mouth to close. Very few authentic period examples of this bank exist. Mrs. Hegarty found this dazzler and it's possibly the finest specimen in the world.
