J. & E. Stevens Company Cromwell, CT - Circa 1911 Good At the end of his presidency, Teddy Roosevelt went on an extended safari in Africa. His every move was chronicled by the press in an effort to satiate the interests of his adoring fans back home. In this toy bank, we find TR staring down the barrel of his rifle to make eye contact with the ferocious lion. Whether such celebrated anecdotes of Teddy's fearlessness are genuine or not, they provide the folklore upon which his legacy is based.
