Rabbi Matityahu Strashun (1818-1886), one of the rabbis of Lithuania, a book collector and renowned bibliographer. Founder of the well-known Strashun Library” in Vilna, Lithuania. Son of the renowned Talmudic commentator Rabbi Shmuel Strashun – the Rashash. Studied from Rabbi Itzale of Volozhin and Rabbi Menashe of Ilia.
