The Rebbes of the Belz chassidic dynasty, who are direct descendants of the author, have a tradition that studying this book brings simcha – joy, as stated in the approbation by the present Belzer Rebbe to the 1993 edition of this work.

Rabbi Elazar Rokach (1685-1742), Rabbi of Amsterdam and famous cabbalist. This work contains cabalistic teachings related to the number of chapters contained in the Mishna, and this work, and its author, were highly regarded by the Baal Shem Tov and his disciples.
