Novella on Tractates Bava Metzia and Horeyos by R. Eliezer Di-Abila. With signature of R. Yissachar Beirish Prager. R. Eliezer Di-Abila (1711-1761), was a nephew of the Ohr HaChaim Ha’Kodosh. He served as Rav in Sa’ali and was renowned as one of the greatest Talmidei Chachomim of his time. See Shem HaGedolim (Mogen Giborim & R. Chaim Ben Attar). With numerous important approbations including one from the CHIDA.
The book contains the signature of the great Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Ha'ir from Safed several times. Also stamped by Rabbi Binyamin Fuchs, Av Beit Din of Wardain. Also signed by Rabbi Mordechai Luria. And other signature ".... Zalman Ullman?" There is an important manuscript on the title page: "I heard that the author was a great man and genius as one of the first to devour"
Rabbi Shmuel Heller, born in Zlotchov, descendant of the Tosfos Yomtov, close adherent of the Chernobil chassidic dynasty. He arrived in Tzfas with his parents, gradually becoming close to the community leadership, particularly after the passing of his Rebbe, Rabbi Avraham Dov of Avrutch – the Bas Ayin, in 1840. A highly respected rabbinical leader of the chassidic community deeply involved in its contacts with Eastern Europe, with the local Sephardic community and its rabbis, with the Ottoman authorities and with the local Arab population.
