Rabbi Zvi Hisrch HaKohen Valk (1856-1906) was a disciple of Rabbi Yosef Dov Ber Soloveitchik of Slutsk. He was a prominent Torah scholar of the time, rabbi of Gruzd, Kossovo, Popilian, Plotzk, and Pinsk, where he succeeded Rabbi Eliezer Moshe Horowitz. He authored the Keter Kehunah commentary on the Sifri with the Hagahot HaGr"a, Teharat Hakodesh, and more.
