'Responsa authored by the great well-known gaon Rabbi Moshe Isserles ztz"l of Krakow' - greatest adjudicator of recent generations. His teachings were accepted by the entire Jewish Diaspora until it was said of him, "ובני ישראל יוצאים ביד רמ"א" [And the people of Israel went out (also: fulfilled their obligations) with a high hand (also: by way of the Ram"a)]. The lenient responsum about drinking "stam yeinam" which was omitted from later editions, and even from the Amsterdam edition printed the same year, is printed in Siman 124 .
