CROWN PRINCE WILHELM OF THE GERMAN EMPIRE AND PRUSSIA
(1882-1951) Heir of the last German Emperor, Wilhelm II, and the last Crown Prince of the German Empire and the Kingdom of Prussia. During World War I, he commanded the 5th Army as well as Army Group German Crown Prince for the remainder of the war. Typed note boldly signed 'Wilhelm' on the back of a 4 x 6 in. photo postcard of Crown Prince Wilhelm, Potsdam, May 12, 1939, to his godchild: 'Thank you very much for your dear wishes for my birthday. Enclosed is one of my books. Many greetings, Your godfather.' Accompanied by an unsigned hardcover copy of the book 'Ich such die Wahrheit!' (Seeking the Truth), published in 1925. In fine condition.
