Drush V’Chiddush by Rabbi Akiva Eiger on Shas is one of the fundamental Torah novellae texts and studied extensively in yeshivos worldwide. Many venerable roshei yeshivos and maggidei shiur in Lithuanian yeshivos open their lectures with famous queries of Rabbi Akiva Eiger from the Drush V’Chiddush, which has served as a cornerstone of Torah novellae throughout the generations.
This work was edited and published by the author’s sons Harav Avraham and Harav Shlomo Eiger. In their preface, they assign great significance to their father’s unique method of Torah study which left an indelible mark on the yeshiva world until this very day.
