A RARE SWISS VIVANDIERE / CANTINIERE SHORT SWORD TYPE 1855
Brass hilt with ribbed grip, straight blade with two wide fullers, black stitched leather scabbard with brass mounts, complete with original leather frog with buckle. Vivandière is a French name for women attached to military regiments as sutlers or canteen keepers.
