PEENEMUNDE SCIENTISTS
Rare postal cover signed by 14 different members of the 'Society of Peenemunders', all scientists and engineers who worked at the Peenemunde V-1 and V-2 German proving grounds. The cover is a copy of a 1943 Feldpost cover with the 'Karlshagen' secret designation for the testing site. The 7 x 5 in. cover is signed by WILHELM ZEYSS, RUDOLF VOHMANN, EVA PITZKEN, WILHELM SOHN, GERD PRIEWE, CURT P. HEROLD, ISOLDE GRAFIN VON ZBOROWSKI, WOFGANG SWOBODA, WALTYER KRAUTH, A. F. STAATS, and one unidentified. Fine.
