S.A. 'RIDER YOUTH' PRESENTATION MEDALLION
Cast iron presentation medallion, approx. 4.25 in. dia., depicting a horse over a political eagle within a wreath on the obverse, with the inscription: 'Fur Verdienste Um Die Wehrhafte Ertuchtigung Der Deutschen Reiterjugend' ('For merit for the defensive training of the German rider youth'), over the facsimile signature of Adolf Hitler and the insignia of the Sturmabteilung, or 'S.A.', on the reverse. The obverse also bears the monogram 'P C' for artist Paul Casberg. Very good to fine.
