THIRD REICH EXECUTES CZECH 'SABOTEUR'
Cautionary German broadside, 29 x 18.5 in., written in both German and Czech, declaring the execution of one Czech citizen 'Osvald Stratil' -- tried for attempted theft and sabotage for cutting the Wehrmacht's communication cable. The poster, issued in Brunn on Aug. 20, 1941, also notes that his collaborators were sentenced to 12 years of imprisonment. Signed in type at bottom by 'Wehrmachtgericht Mahren'. Folds, some creases, else fine. Posters like these were placed throughout Czechoslovakia to discourage rebellion and misbehavior.
