ANDREI A. GRECHKO
(1903 - 1976) Soviet Marshal, twice Hero of the USSR, and Minister of Defense, who desperately resisted the German advance in the south during World War II, liberating Kiev, the Ukraine and occupied Prague. Partly-printed D.S. as Commander of troops in Kiev, 2pp. 4to., 1947, an attestation as to the military competence of an engineering officer. Very good.
